This weekend marks the 7th Annual "Olde Fashioned Christmas" festival in Palisade.
It was such a great time at the celebration today, as both the young and the old gathered on Main Street in Palisade to take a walk down memory lane at the "Olde Fashioned Christmas" festival.
The sounds, smells and atmosphere put people of all ages in the Christmas spirit.
Whether you wanted to toast marshmallows, take a horse-drawn carriage ride, try some local home-made snacks or enter the gingerbread house competition- you could find it all today right in downtown Palisade.
Executive director of the Palisade Chamber of Commerce, Juliann Adams, says she's both excited and honored to be part of the celebration.
“I'm very proud, very proud to be the head of the chamber and to be part of this festival every year, palisade is the perfect spot for an old fashion Christmas, we have a small town atmosphere and it's just a way for us all to come together downtown as a community and kick off Christmas,” said Adams.
There were more than sixty vendors at the festival this year and officials say that's about double the amount of businesses the event had in the past.
A lot of people headed downtown to see what the old fashion Christmas is all about and it's not over quite yet.
A parade of lights will also take place in downtown palisade tonight at 6 PM wrapping up the days events.
