7 year-old Clifton boy shot by another child

CLIFTON, Colo -

Deputies responded to 3220 E. Hall Court in Clifton Thursday night for a report of a child who had been shot with a .22 caliber rifle.

The 7 year-old boy had been shot by another child inside Unit G.  He has a non-life threatening injury, and was transported to Community Hospital by the personal vehicle by a family member.

He was treated and returned home overnight.

The investigation continues, but due to the circumstances and young age of the kids involved, additional information is not being released at this point.
