Twenty-seven employees returned to work on the Uranium Mill Tailings Remedial Action Project in Moab, Utah on Monday. This comes after a three month planned furlough.
The project's shipping and disposal operations have been shut down since November.
Operations will resume later this week after workers receive refresher training, and review procedures.
The site in Moab collects and then ships them by train to a site near Crescent Junction, Utah for disposal.
