The two people who were found dead in a Mesa home Thursday morning had been shot to death, according to the Mesa County Coroner’s Office.

Police Have Detained One Man
The Opportunity Center School in downtown Grand Junction was placed on lockdown Wednesday around 11:00 a.m. after a disturbance.Police have detained one man after reports he created a disturbance at the school. He apparently was on school grounds, yelling at students.Initial reports say the man ran into a nearby home when police attempted to contact him, and then barricaded himself in. Police had to go into the home and use a taser on the suspect to arrest him.Police tell KJCT News 8 that the man is now being mentally evaluated.
