Local Firefighters Go To Idaho, Montana To Help

Almost 30 Firefighters Sent

Four wild fires north of Colorado are burning and many from the Western Slope are helping the cause.

About 30 firefighters from upper Colorado Inter-agency department have traveled to Idaho and Montana.

Twenty crew members were dispatched to the Downing Mountain fire in Montana, that so far has burned 315,000 acres.

The other three fires in Idaho are the Long butte, the Hurd fire and the Middle Butte fire.

All of the fires are on Forest Service and BLM land.
