Egg Recall Not Affecting Local Schools

Districts Say Their Supply is Safe

With back to school in full swing, we wanted to make sure the egg recall wasn't affecting local schools.

District 51 Nutrition Services says although eggs are rarely on the menu, those that have been purchased are not part of the nationwide egg recall.

Delta county school district officials say they get all of their eggs from Meadow Gold, which hasn't been affected by the recall.

In Montrose county, the egg supply is safe as well, with their eggs coming from Cargill Sunnyfresh, a company not on the recall list.
