Authorities say one person was killed and two others were seriously injured in a head-on crash near Durango.
The Durango Herald reports (http://bit.ly/RoEsLi ) a female passenger in an SUV headed west on U.S. Highway 160 near Elmore's Corner on Saturday afternoon was killed when the vehicle struck another SUV headed in the opposite direction. The drivers of both vehicles involved were injured.
Colorado State Patrol Trooper Josh Lewis declined to release the victims' names until their families are notified.
