PUEBLO, Colo. Pueblo police say an 18-year-old man is dead after being run over by a train when he was ejected onto the tracks from an out-of-control SUV.
Police say they suspect speed was a factor that led to the accident, which happened early Sunday. The Denver Post reports that two 16-year-old boys in the SUV were also injured, including one with life-threatening injuries.
No names were released and it's unknown whether the 18-year-old was the driver of the vehicle.
Authorities say the SUV rolled over when it went out of control. The 18-year-old was thrown onto nearby tracks, and an approaching train was unable to stop in time.
Police are still investigating the accident.
