GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. If you think the weather is colder than what you are used to in December, you are right.

Bitter cold air has settled in the Grand Valley because of the inversion and four record low temperatures have been set so far this month.

"The normal temperature for December, highs and lows averaged out, would be 28.5 degrees and we are at 13.3 so far this month so that's very much below normal," John Kyle, National Weather Service.

The total snow fall this month has been 10 inches, which is double the average amount and the second highest record ever. That is also just point three inches less than the current record from 1978.

If you think we are done with the snow fall think again because officials expect to see another snow storm late next week.
