GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. Colorado underwent statewide election reform last year allowing same day registration and voting, but that does not mean all voting deadlines changed.
The law still requires voters to be affiliated with their party if they want to participate the caucus.
The deadline to register is Monday January 6th, that is 60 days before caucus night, which is March 4th.
There are different ways to register. You can visit the Clerk and Recorders office and pick up and application, download one off their website and email or fax it in or fill out an application from www.govote colorado.com.
A candidate does have the option of getting on the ballot without going through a major political party.
