Patrol and Street Crimes bust men with meth

Grand Junction, Colo. – Deputies with both the Grand Junction Police Department and the Street Crimes Unit busted three men with meth Thursday night during a traffic stop.

A patrol officer conducted a traffic stop just before 11 p.m. Thursday night in the area of D ½ Road and D ½ Court. The driver was identified as 18-year-old Ezequiel Silva-Garcia, of Delta. Ezequiel was arrested for an outstanding warrant originally issued by Montrose County Sheriff’s Office for controlled substance violations.

While the officer searched the vehicle, deputies found a bag containing methamphetamine weighing 18 grams. Ezequiel was booked into Mesa County Detention Facility without incident on the outstanding warrant and new charges.

On the same night, the Street and Crime Unit also conducted a traffic stop around 8:45 p.m. on 32 Road and Bunting Avenue. A bag that was thrown from the truck was identified as methamphetamine that weighed over 54 grams.

The passenger was identified as 37-year-old Aaron Irvine of Grand Junction and the driver was 60-year-old Harold Wardle of Grand Junction. Both men were arrested.

Irvine was previously arrested by deputies on Nov. 13, on a warrant issued by the Grand Junction Police Department. Wardle was previously booked into jail on Oct. 21, when he turned himself into the Detention Facility on outstanding charges.
