Man survives Honda Fit rollover accident

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. Colorado State Patrol responded to an I-70 vehicle-rollover accident at 5:30 p.m. last night.

A vehicle traveling eastbound on Interstate 70 drifted off the roadway causing it to rollover. The accident happened between 24 and 24 ½ Road.

The Grand Junction Fire Department was able to extricate the 21-year-old driver by prying the door of his Honda Fit open.

Witnesses say he was looking down at the time the accident occurred.

The driver was transported to the hospital, but details are unknown at this time and the accident remains under investigation.
