Local non-profits get much needed gift

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. Ten local non-profits got a special gift today when the Grand Junction Lions Club announced its 2014 grant recipients.

The club is donating $125,000 that will be raised over the next month through raffle ticket sales for their parade and carnival in February.

Club officials say in February the Grand Junction Lions Club will raise more money than any other Lions Club in the world with their carnival event.

Over the last 85 years they've given away more than $4-million back into the community.
