HopeWest on the lookout for volunteers

By  |

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. HopeWest is in need of new volunteers with the start of the new year.

"The feeling of doing something good for another person," said Diane Dickey Barger, HopeWest's program manager of volunteer services. "That is our hope for this year that people are really willing to come out and assist other people."

HopeWest volunteers contribute to a range of services at the center.

From visiting with and supporting patients and families to helping out at HopeWest's Heirloom store downtown, Dickey Barger said they can fit the job to the person dedicating their time.

They're always looking for more people to help out no matter the time of year, she said.

"We never have enough," Dickey Barger said. "How about that because we always are looking for people to bring their skills and talents to our organization."

There will be an information session Monday at 5:30 p.m. at 2754 Compass Dr., Suite 370, for those interested in volunteering at HopeWest.
