GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) One of Grand Junction’s elite restaurants is dishing up some great food, all while giving back to local charities.
No Coast Sushi teamed up on Tuesday night with the Roice Hurst Humane Society. The restaurant is taking 25 % of their total sales from Tuesday, including take-out orders, and donating them to Roice Hurst.
This is the third of six 'give back nights' the restaurant is having for different local charities.
"Something we saw a need for was the smaller groups that really weren't getting funding and didn't have the money to put on a big fundraiser and so we thought we could do something for them," says Lisa Boyd, owner of No Coast Sushi.
“I don't need an excuse to come to No Coast, but coming tonight knowing that 25 percent is going to a great cause in the community, I think that's awesome," says Randi Marsh, a No Coast Sushi customer.
No Coast is holding six of these 'give back' nights throughout the year as part of celebrating their 6th year anniversary.
Boyd is from Grand Junction, and she and her husband love to give back to the community when they can. Both Lisa and her husband, Christopher, are big animal lovers.
