GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. The Fruita 8/9 teacher arrested Tuesday for sending inappropriate messages to underage girls has bonded out of jail.

58 year old Randy Majors was placed on administrative leave in November when an investigation was launched into his relationships.

District 51 officials say he is still on leave and based on the allegations the situation could be grounds for termination.

"It's intolerable it's inexcusable for staff to behave in the way that's being described," Christy Mcgee, District 51.

Majors started teaching in district 51 schools in 1994.

Officials say they are very thorough with their hiring process and each applicant must go through fingerprinting and a background check, which is constantly monitored for updates to make sure students are safe.

Majors is facing multiple charges of sexual exploitation of a child and attempted sexual exploitation of a child after officials say he asked young girls for nude photographs.

He's due in court for a formal filing in February.
