MESA, Colo. With below freezing temperatures here in the grand valley many people are looking for places to go to get out of the cold, and one of those spots may be closer thank you think.
The inversion causes icy temperatures here in the Valley but allows for more comfortable temperatures up high.
Those who live there know, the Mesa is a perfect place to escape.
"In the winter time we do get the inversion down in Junction," says Blink Coffee employee and Mesa resident, Bobbie Withers. "It does get a little colder so it's nice to come up on the Mesa when it's nice and sunny."
The better weather attracts tourists, bringing more money and attention to the area.
