Dining Out for Life to benefit HIV/AIDS

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. Eat a meal and benefit people living with HIV and AIDS all at once! The Western Colorado AIDS Project is hosting a Dining Out For Life fundraising event April 30th that will help raise money for AIDS service organizations.

WestCAP has teamed with restaurants in Mesa County and Delta Counties to help men, women and families affected by HIV and AIDS in the 22 counties of Western Colorado. Here is a list of all the restaurants participating:

- The Winery Restaurant
- Main Street Café
- il Bistro Italiano
- Le Rouge Restaurant & Piano Bar
- Pablo’s Pizza
- Back Country Bistro
-The Bistro, Montrose
-Great Harvest Bread Company, Montrose
-The Coffee Trader
-The Local
- Brickwall Eatery
- Hightower Café
- The Living Farm Café
- PJ’s Neighborhood Pub
-No Coast Sushi
-Pat's Bar & Grill
-MX Tapas Bar and Restaurante
-Las Maria's

Manager of Le Rouge Restaurant and Piano Bar Gayle Hunger says it was a no-brainer when asked to sign up.

"We thought that it was a good way to give back to the community," said Hunger. "We are always looking for ways to donate and do some service work."

To become involved you need to go to one of these listed restaurants, order a meal and then a portion of your proceeds will go to WestCAP.

This year marks the organization’s 26th anniversary. WestCAP is a community-based, advocacy and service provider for assistance to HIV-affected people. They also promote prevention and education about HIV to people in the Grand Valley.
