GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. Police are working to cut down on the number of people who walk out to bike racks to find their bicycles have disappeared.

The Grand Junction Police Department has bait bikes around Grand Junction equipped with a system to notify someone when the bicycle is being moved.

The bait bike program started back in October and it has turned up six arrests so far.

There were 196 reported stolen bikes in 2013, which was almost $120,000 worth of stolen property.
