Former Delta deputy sentenced to 60 days

DELTA, Colo. Former Delta County Sheriff's Office deputy and Police Officer Kevin Cundiff was back in court on Monday for sentencing.

Cundiff was sentenced to 60 days in jail, and will serve two years of supervised probation.

Cundiff was arrested in August of 2013, after a pre-teen girl disclosed information about sexual contact between him and the girl.

She was seven at the time, according to the Montrose Daily Press Cundiff is charged with unlawful sexual contact without consent.

He agreed to a plea deal in March and will report to serve his jail time on June 29th.

Kundiff said during his sentencing that he accepts full responsibility and apologized for his actions.
