Wahlberg, the younger brother of New Kids on the Block star Donnie Wahlberg, had a troubled youth before he made it big.

After his hip-hop stint with Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch, Wahlberg began his acting career.

Wahlberg portrayed Vince Papale – a 30-year-old bartender who ends up playing for the Philadelphia Eagles -- in 2006’s “Invincible.”
He went on to star in movies including “The Happening” and “Max Payne.”
Wahlberg played the father of a murdered girl in “The Lovely Bones” in 2009.
In 2010 he received rave reviews for his role in “The Fighter.”
He went on to appear in the action thriller “Contraband” in 2012.
Wahlberg showed off his comedic side in the 2012 hit “Ted,” where he played a man whose best friend was a live stuffed bear.
A Boston native, one of Wahlberg’s trademarks is his Boston accent.
Aside from acting, Wahlberg also serves as an executive producer for TV series. Some of his hits include “Entourage,” “Boardwalk Empire” and “In Treatment.”
Wahlberg is married to Rhea Durham. The couple has four children.
