Kristen Stewart was born in Los Angeles to parents who work in film and TV. She got her uncredited debut in the 1999 Disney Channel movie "The Thirteenth Year," playing "Girl in Fountain Line."
Her next role was also uncredited, lasting a few seconds with her back to the camera as "Ring Toss Girl" in 2000's "The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas."
Her first significant role came when she was cast as Sam Jennings in the 2001 drama "The Safety of Objects."
At the age of 11, Stewart had her biggest role to date, co-starring with Jodie Foster in David Fincher's 2002 thriller "Panic Room."
