Gaga doing well after suffering concert injury
Backup performer accidentally hit singer on head with set pole
Lady Gaga is on the mend after getting smacked in the head with a set piece while performing in Auckland, New Zealand, on Sunday.
The superstar singer was in the middle of a rendition of "Judas" when a backup performer accidentally hit her on the head with a set pole while attempting to move it.
Gaga could be seen in video posted online swaying slightly after the moment of impact and then rubbing her head just before exiting the stage.
MTV reports that she returned a short time later to power through the rest of her 16-song set, even though she'd suffered an injury.
At one point the singer told the audience, "I want to apologize. I did hit my head and I think I may have a concussion. But don't you worry, I will finish this show."
Gaga's reported makeup artist,Tara Savelo, confirmed the injury via Twitter Sunday, saying, "Gaga has a concussion but she is going to be okay. She wants u to know she loves u. I'm taking care of her. Can't believe she finished the show."
Reps for Gaga tell CNN that she's now "doing well."
