News, the father-daughter pair had a six-year-long estrangement after Voight publicly claimed Jolie had “mental problems.” Jon Voight has said that his divorce from Angelina Jolie's mother, Marcheline Bertrand, is the cause for their estrangement, according to the New York Daily News.
The Sheen Family—Charlie Sheen is no stranger to public scrutiny. The actor has struggled with addiction for years, been arrested for drug possession and assault, and is well known for questionable incidents involving “escorts.” His father Martin and brother Emilio Estevez called him “emotionally crippled” after his famous meltdown in 2011, according to E! News.
Candy and Tori Spelling—E! News reported the mother-daughter duo’s feud started shortly after Tori came up short in Aaron Spelling’s will. Tori wrote a tell-all book about her dysfunctional relationship with her mother. Candy responded in 2009 when she criticized her daughter for being a reality-TV show sellout.
The Lohans—Lindsay Lohan, father Michael and mother Dina are the stars of this family-feud triangle. According to the New York Daily News, the actress accused her father of cheating on and physically abusing her mother, Dina. Michael has publicly scolded his ex-wife’s parenting skills and has released secretly-taped phone conversations that damaged Lindsay's reputation. Lindsay responded by calling her father “a lunatic.”
Mike “The Situation” and Frank Sorrentino—The “Jersey Show” star’s father accused Mike of abandoning him for fame, reported E! News. Frank had planned to write a tell-all book about his famous son. Mike responded by filing a lawsuit against his father for attempting to ruin his reputation.
The Hogans—Hulk and Linda’s marriage publicly fell apart during the filming of their popular TV show “Hogan Knows Best.” Brooke said she felt “betrayed and back-stabbed” by her mom after Linda allegedly acquired a 20-year-old boyfriend. A few years later, Hulk filed a lawsuit against his ex-wife for supposedly false allegations made against him in her autobiography, according to E! News.
Madonna and Christopher Ciccone—The feud began after Madonna dropped her brother Christopher as her assistant, reported E! News. She also tried to stop Christopher in 2008 from writing the tell-all book, “Life with My Sister Madonna.”
The Barrymores—Drew’s troubles began when her mother became her manager. The 7-year-old child star accompanied her mother to nightclubs, allegedly leading to several addictions at a young age.
The Carters—Aaron might want Candy, but his mother Jane wanted cash. E! News reported that in 2003, Aaron fired his mom as his manager and accused her of taking more than $100,000 from his bank account. “I am more of a cash cow than a son to her,” Aaron said later.
Oksana Grigorieva and Mel Gibson—The actor began dating Grigorieva after his divorce from his wife of 27 years. The two had a daughter, Lucia, together. According to the New York Daily News, Grigorieva accused Gibson of battery and filed a restraining order against him following their split in April 2010. Gibson responded by filing one of his own and by cutting her off financially. Later, taped phone calls began surfacing in which Gibson goes “delirious with anger.”
Prince Andrew and the Duchess of York—The feud started when the Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, was caught on tape trying to sell access to her ex-husband, Prince Andrew, for more than $750,000, according to the New York Daily News. Ferguson claimed her financial situation was under stress but admitted, “That is no excuse for a serious lapse in judgment, and I am very sorry that this has happened.”
