Local Sports: Youth football takes over Stocker Stadium

It was a beautiful night for football on Tuesday night and no I’m not talking the NFL, college, or even high school. I’m talking the Western Colorado Youth Football League.

It was the beginning of championship week for the league.

The games got started tonight with the Tyke division as the Rams were taking on the Spartans in the 6-7 year olds age group.

And the night at Stocker Stadium wrapped up on Tuesday with the rookie league matchup, the Cardinals taking on the Rams.

Well if you didn’t make it out to the games on Tuesday at Stocker you are in luck there is still two more bowls games on Wednesday night.

At 6:00 P.M the Junior Renegade will play the Junior Venom in the Shoe Carnival Grand Mesa bowl.

And rounding out the night at 7:30 in the senior league it will be Titans football matching up with the Grand County Thunderbirds in the Sunnyside Properties Colorado River bowl.
