Grand Junction wrestling took first place at this year's Warrior Classic with a team score of 250.0 breaking the previous record set by Moffat County in 2001.
"That was definitely the goal this year, coming in to break that record," senior Dylan Martinez says. "Breaking that record was a big deal for all of us. it was pretty exciting for all of us going crazy for Hunter's (Tobiasson) last match."
Five Tigers placed first in the tournament as well.
"It just kind of shows how much better we are than last year and how close we are and what we can do as a team," senior Seth Latham says.
Grand Junction will compete in the Varsity Jackpot Duals at 6 P.M. on Thursday at Palisade High School
