HS Wrestling: Central's Myah Arrieta claims Girls State Title

Saturday was all about the ladies in the wrestling world in Colorado as it was the 2018 Girls State Championships.

Eight wrestlers from the Western Slope participated including kids from Grand Junction, Central, Rifle, Durango, Dove Creek, Eagle Valley , and Grand Valley.

At 118 pounds Central freshman Myah Arrieta claimed the Girls State title winning all over her matches by pin expect for a semifinal decision.

Grand Junction Tiger Kaylee Lacy came up just short of the state title going 2-1 on the day with her lone loss coming to Marissa Gallegos of Jefferson in the championship match.
