HS Softball: Lady Warriors prepare for Fruita Monument

The Central High school softball team has had a great start to the season going 13-4, but the next stretch of games will be pivotal for the post season.

If the season ended today the Lady Warriors would be on the road to begin the postseason. As they sit at number 10 in the latest RPI CHSAA rankings.

For Central though right now all of their focus is on Tuesday's game against the rival, the Fruita Monument Wildcats.

“They have an experienced coach and they have three or four really good hitters on that team. So you know they are always scary and games are always scary especially under the lights at Colorado Mesa,” said head coach Scott Else.
