HS Football: Bulldogs look to bounce back

Palisade football certainly received a wake-up call last week after Holy Family cane into Stocker Stadium and defeated the Bulldogs, 56-20.

In the loss, the Bulldogs gave up 384 yards through the air.

Palisade shifts focus to Montrose on Thursday.

The Indians are 1-1 after losing a close one Fruita during zero week and then defeating Rifle in week one.

"They've got a lot of their same coaches back but a new energy with their new head coach," head coach Joe Rammuno says. "He's done a great job. We've seen him at camp all summer and different things. I know they're a very good football team. I think they're a better football team then they were a year ago."

The Bulldogs are doing everything they can to prepare.

"They're big, they're super quick, they'll hand off the ball so we just have to get up to the line and be ready," junior cornerback Sebastian Campbell says. "We have to just be physical. We have to stay discipline with our gaps."
