It was a tough loss on Friday night for the CMU men's soccer to the School of Mines, so the team was looking for a big win against #18 Regis. The Mavs did just that taking down the Rangers 3-0 at Walker Field on Sunday.
The scoring got underway courtesy of Kevin Del Mazo in the first half when he scored on a free kick from over 40 yards out.
In the second half CMU was bound determined to put the game out of reach. Matthew Miller scored his first goal on the year at the 60th minute, and Del Mazo added his 2nd on the day in the 73rd minute.
The Mavs blew out the Rangers in shots on goal. CMU had the advantage 16 to 8.
Colorado Mesa will continue RMAC play this week when they hit the road for the first time this season. That will be on Friday when the Mavs travel to take on Adams State.
