GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)-- Volunteers looking to help stray cats in our area are meeting Thursday to learn about an effort to trap, neuter and return the animals to a safer future.
The newly formed Grand Valley Cat Coalition will target areas from North Avenue to the Riverside Parkway and from 1st to 12th Streets on Saturday.
The program is intended to help deal with cat overpopulation in the area.
People can learn more about the program and how to help at an informational meeting Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the Church of the Nativity, 2157 Broadway, in Grand Junction.
