GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT) -- The numbers are in and Mesa County law enforcement is leading the pack when it comes to raising money for the Special Olympics.
Last weekend, the annual Tip-A-Cop event at Chili's in Grand Junction raised the most money in the state, $4,567.76.
It’s a collaboration between the Mesa County Sheriff's office and Colorado State Patrol. All the money they raised goes to the Special Olympics and stays right here in Colorado. It helps athletes compete without costing their families.
