LOMA, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)-- A man is in custody Friday after leading Colorado State Patrol on a high-speed chase that reached speeds over 130 miles per hour.
CSP tells us the suspect was involved in a road rage incident just east of Parachute.
State patrol tried to stop him, but the man took off on Interstate 70 heading west. He went all the way through De Beque Canyon and the Grand Valley before being stopped past Fruita.
Troopers used stop sticks near Loma, where the suspect was then arrested.
State patrol tells us the man driving the car was Pedro Cafillaf-Mendoza. He is 22 years old.
They say they're not sure why Cafillaf-Mendoza took off from troopers, but say alcohol is suspected.
