MESA COUNTY, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT) Kids aren't the only ones who will benefit from the passing of 3A and 3B. A local real estate agent says the housing market will, as well.
Real estate agents said the passing of the ballot issues shows the community is interested in investing in kids, which will bring young families to the Grand Valley. Investing in kids can make a difference to people on the edge of moving to the area.
"There are a lot of businesses in town recruiting outside of the area and that's been a real challenge for them. When some of these people come from other markets, they evaluate the schools and we haven't been able to measure up," said Christi Reece, a real estate agent with Coldwell Banker.
It could have a long-term affect on the local housing market and increase property values countywide.
