Known for his pocket squares and wild dress socks, Jason’s passion for journalism started in college after he got to share the story of a Vietnam Veteran that flew one thousand helicopter missions during the Vietnam War.

Originally from Centennial Colorado, Jason studied Digital Media Arts with an emphasis in broadcast journalism at Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee Oklahoma, where he reported as a multimedia journalist, and also co-anchored for the university’s news broadcast, OBU-TV News.

After a summer internship at KOCO 5 News in Oklahoma City, Jason decided he wanted to kick off his broadcast career, and graduated early in the class of December 2017.

As a Colorado native, Jason was thrilled to join KKCO 11 news in February of 2018. He takes pride in advocating for the public, and loves to get to know people.

His hobbies include playing guitar, fishing, hiking, and barbeque grilling.
Jason is always looking for story ideas, so don’t hesitate to reach out!
