I was born and raised in Denver, I came to Grand Junction and went to Mesa State College. After college I did not want to leave this great valley.
I began working for KJCT News 8 back in 1996 as a Production Assistant. Then I worked as a Master Control Operator, finally I moved into engineering. After working as an engineer for 10 hours per day I would shoot news stories on the weekend. I was offered the Chief Photographer job 5 years ago. I have won 5 first place awards from the Colorado Broadcasters Association and a number of 2nd place, for my video work. In my spare time I enjoy taking photographs, playing lot of golf and spending time with family and friends. When I have a camera in my hand I have the ability to capture a moment in time to share with everyone that I can.
The one person that I look up to most is Ansel Adams, one of my favorite quotes of his is:
"When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs. When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silence."
