What: 22nd Annual Alternative Christmas Fair
When: Sunday, November 18, 2012 ~ 10am to 4pm
Where: Lincoln Park Barn, (12th & North Ave., Grand Junction)
An opportunity to give the gift that means the most…
This year 20 local and 30 national and international non-profit organizations will be represented at the Fair; sharing information about the direct services they provide to the communities they serve.
Shoppers who donate to these organizations receive holiday cards that can be given to family and friends letting them know of the thoughtful gift made in their honor.
Join us for music, cookies and coffee while you shop around, enjoy the project displays, and learn about the amazing work these organizations are
doing.
Handmade crafts made by artisans in Uganda (Light Gives Heat) will be available at the Fair as well as Café Justo Fair Trade Coffee to benefit the Sheepherder Project. Also, Grand Valley Peace & Justice will be selling Fair Trade cocoa, tea and chocolate bars.
This year, local non-profits have decorated Christmas trees unique to their organizations for silent auction at the Fair. Drop by the Fair to see these amazing trees. Perhaps you or your business would like to help your favorite non-profit by bidding on their tree!
Those unable to attend the Fair can still purchase Alternative Gifts through December 14th. Contact Grand Valley Peace & Justice at (970) 243-0136 or visit us on-line at www.gvpeacejustice.org. The Fair is already active on-line!
The Alternative Christmas Fair is a project of Grand Valley Peace & Justice and Alternative Gifts International.
