Western Colorado Congress of Mesa County is "Honoring the Riverfront Vision" on March 7 starting at 6 pm. The event will take place at the KAFM radio station lower meeting room at 1310 Ute Ave.

We hope to have a number of the original people from the movie "Love That River" that chronicles how Grand Junction cleaned up the riverfront and the multi-generational vision of the founders of the movement. This group of people is owed so much by this community, because without the river we would have remained "Grand Junkyard" and our way of life would have taken a much different path.

We are once again challenged to complete the vision and take on the responsibility of keeping Mesa County on the path that enhances the health of its citizens. These challenges require education and information so the people that so love to live here, can make informed decisions. We hope you will join us in the continuing journey to preserve and protect our future.
