Get ready for an all-you-can-eat, mouth-melting corned beef and stewed cabbage, carrots and potatoes Irish-style feast Saturday, March 16, from 4 to 7 p.m.

The 4th annual St. Patrick’s Day Corned Beef & Cabbage Supper, hosted by the Fruitvale Lions Club and chaired by a native Irishman, Lion Irwin Stewart, will be held at the Clifton Community Hall, 126 2nd St., in Clifton, Colo.

Hundreds come out each year for the festive occasion, which includes a silent auction and “Cake Wheel” raffle, where virtually everyone who plays is a winner so bring your spare dollar bills. The event is the club’s biggest fundraiser with net proceeds going to local charities and scholarships, which the club supports, as well as the Lions KIDSIGHT eye-screening program, in which the club will pay for local kids to have eye exams and glasses if their families can’t afford it.

The cost is $8/adults, $5/children ages 6-11, and FREE for 5 and under. Coffee and lemonade are included. For more information, contact Lion Irwin at 970-243-0609.
