Grand Junction–(May 11, 2012)– Everyone's favorite dinosaurs are coming to Dinosaur Days with Dinosaur Train. And they're hosting a cool day filled with adventure and entertainment for the entire family.

Activities:

Become a member of the Nature Trackers Club, meet Buddy the T. Rex, view "Dinosaur Train" episodes, see real dinosaur fossils outdoors, and take part in lots of other fun activities at the Dinosaur Journey Museum and the Fruita Paleontological Area.

Logistics:

The event will be split over two locations.

9am-noon

Fruita Paleontological Area (Shuttle service WILL be provided between Dinosaur Journey and the Fruita Paleontological Area.)

- Families can take an easy hike and kids can complete four Dinosaur Train "Nature Trackers" challenges (collecting, community, conservation, and tracking) to receive their official "Nature Trackers" membership cards.

- Families also can take a short walk and see real dinosaur fossils on nearby trails, and rangers from the NPS and BLM will be on-hand to answer questions.

10am-3pm

Dinosaur Journey Museum

- After becoming official Nature Trackers, kids and families can watch episodes of "Dinosaur Train," meet Buddy the Dinosaur, get pictures taken on a cut-out Dinosaur Train, enjoy more dinosaur-themed activities, and tour the museum.

All activities are free. Museum admission, if desired, will be at regular rates.

Bathroom facilities at the Fruita Paleontological area are somewhat limited, so please plan accordingly.
