Thirty-six year old Jaime Bowden is being held at the Mesa County Jail on $1500 bond. She was arrested on driving under the influence, trespassing and recklass driving. Bowden was arrested early Monday morning after driving her car onto the Grand Junction Regional Airport runway.
Air traffic was haulted at the airport, after local dispatch received a call that a white SUV was driving on a runway near gate 17.
The call came in shortly after 2:30 this morning. Multiple Grand Junction Police units responded to that last terminal located off Landing View Lane. At about 3:30 this morning 36-year-old Jamie Bowden was arrested, suspected of drinking and driving.
Police say she drove off the side of the Interstate 70, went through a barbed-wire fence and then continued onto the runway.
