GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT) -- more investigators testified Tuesday in the Miriam Helmick trial. Investigator Beverly Jarrell shared her experiences with Helmick.
She testified Helmick was talking to investigators about two hours after the 911 call came in that her husband had been killed.
A video was also shown in court of Helmick being examined by the forensics team.
"When a weapon is shot in the vicinity, the powder and chemicals come out of the weapon when its fired," Jarrell told the court. "You see the smoke leave the barrel when its fired."
A visibly upset Miriam is depicted in the video shown at court... but Miriam seemed calm sitting at the defendant's table.
Other pieces of evidence, including pants with what investigators said could be blood on it, were admitted as well.
More crime scene experts were called to the stand later in the day.
