GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT) -- After months of talks, Safeway and King Soopers have given a union representing Colorado grocery workers their last, best, and final contract offer.
The sides weren't commenting Monday night on the terms.
Workers represented by United Food and Commercial Workers Local 7 were scheduled to start voting on the offer Wednesday and wrap up Friday.
UFCW Local 7 represents about 17,000 Colorado workers at Safeway, Albertsons and the Kroger Co. Chains of King Soopers and City Market whose contracts expired May 9.
Pension and health benefits were among top issues for union negotiators.
