H1N1 Vaccines open for all children 5 to 24 years old

Grand Junction (KJCT)-   The Mesa County Health department is announcing, H1N1 Vaccination Appointments Available for Children 5-24 Years of age. Experts say you need to schedule appointments beginning Tuesday morning at 8:30am.

Appointments can only be scheduled for Wednesday, November 18th from 1pm-6pm. A total of 500 appointments are available.  All doses are the intranasal type (flu mist) and can only be given to healthy individuals.   

 This is for healthy children only. You can get an appointment two ways:   

  • Online: Visit the Mesa County Health Department’s website at www.health.mesacounty.us and click on the red button that says “Appointment.” The scheduling website will be available beginning at 8:30am on Tuesday and will close when appointments are filled.

 

  • Telephone:  If you do not have internet access, you can call the Health Department at 683-6636 to schedule an appointment. Staff will be available to schedule appointments on Tuesday from 8:30am until appointments are filled.
