H1N1 hospitalizations up in Mesa County

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT) -- The Mesa County Health Department is reporting 83 swine flu hospitalizations with younger children being more at risk.

Next week the health department will offer the second round of booster shots for children who have already had the first shot in H1N1 vaccine.

Healthy children 6 months to 35 months old and children 9 years old and younger with chronic medical conditions can sign up for the second round of the vaccine starting Monday morning.

Appointments will only be scheduled for Tuesday, November 17th from 9 a-m to 4 p-m.
