DENVER (AP) - Winter storm warnings are in effect throughout much of Colorado today.

The National Weather Service says the Denver area could get between 10 and 18 inches of snow before the storm moves out tomorrow.

Parts of the foothills and the Front Range mountains could get up to 4 feet of snow and 1 to 2 feet are expected in the San Juan Mountains in southwestern Colorado. Strong winds are forecast to develop tonight and tomorrow, which could cause blizzard conditions on the Eastern Plains.

United Airlines and Frontier Airlines are relaxing some fees for changing travel plans in light of the storm forecast.

Winter storm warnings are also posted for southeast Wyoming. Interstate 80 between Laramie and Cheyenne is shut down because of the weather and multiple accidents.
