COLLBRAN (KJCT) -- A 55-year-old Florida man has died after a 4 wheeling accident in the Collbran area Sunday afternoon.
According to the Mesa County Sheriff's Office, the accident happened in a remote area north east of Vega Lake Dam.
The man was one of three people riding on two 4-wheelers.
Deputies say the accident happened when both drivers made too sharp of a turn and both 4-wheelers rolled down an embankment.
One of the 4-wheelers rolled over and crushed the victim.
Someone in the group tried CPR but was not able to revive the man. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
