GRAND JUNCTION (KJCT) -- A Wisconsin man has died after a cycling accident in the Colorado National Monument over the weekend-- the first cycling death in the history of the Monument.
The crash happened Saturday.
Two eyewitnesses say 65-year-old Stanley Dodson lost control of his bike riding down the east hill of Rim Rock Drive.
They say he was going about 25 miles per hour when he lost control and hit the pavement.
Dodson was taken to Saint Mary's. He died Sunday afternoon.
