Double the Effectiveness of Hearing Aids – Get in the Hearing Loop!

Laura Hansen, Assist2Hear

Are you familiar with Hearing Loops? Induction loop systems can help you hear better at home and in public venues. All that is required is a telecoil in your hearing device. The loop creates a magnetic field that is picked up by the telecoil which is converted to sound sent from the loop amplifier. Background noise is reduced, creating a clearer signal from the source of the sound. Additional equipment is not required; users of the system can discreetly turn on their telecoils to receive the sound.

Ms. Hansen is the owner and founder of Assist2Hear, a Colorado company active in professional installation of induction loop systems. Having worked in the Senior Care industry, Laura has seen many seniors isolate themselves because they cannot hear in social settings and are unaware of available products to help in these settings. The company is committed to making improvements to public and private meeting places to help them conform to ADA guidelines for those with hearing disabilities, and to promoting Induction Hearing Loop technology in both residential and commercial settings throughout Colorado. Come learn more about this technology and its benefits.

This meeting will be captioned and light refreshments will be served.

People of all ages and all types of hearing loss are welcome!

All HLAA chapter meetings are free to members and non-members, including family and friends. Meetings are held the first Saturday of every month, 10:30-12:30.
