We take a look back at early phone scams of the 1980's. Scammers had the element of surprise on their side then; today they have increased technology making their crimes easier.

But, all in all, scams of the 80's were just paving the way for the scammers of today. In this segment of Flashback Friday, Action 8 News reporter Anne Meyers introduces the Grand Valley to a phone scam that was causing headaches for local residents in 1985.
